We are currently seeking candidates to join our warehousing and production team.

Traffic & Production Control Coordinator – 11/12/2018

Summary:

  • The position is responsible for all inventories, materials, and finished product flow. The individual will be expected to solve related problems both independently and in a team environment. It encompasses correct entry and monitoring of all inventory and material flow both manually and through various internal and external systems. In summary, this position has full responsibility for everything related to the inventory control process from the time of initial contact to the shipping of the finished product.

Essential/Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage accurate inventory records for all parts
  • Monitor material flow between Suppliers, Korten customer tracking system and the customer utilizing the FIFO system
  • Verify all receiving documents, and resolve receiving discrepancies
  • Manage material scheduling in a JIT environment
  • Establish and Maintain strong relationship with customer
  • Maintain continuous communication with internal and external customers
  • Inventory management of all part numbers- expected to use existing system but also to improve and add new systems if needed
  • Responsible for materials storage and flow both on & off site – expected to use existing system but also improve service to operations while increasing inventory turns
  • Managing the shipping of finished product and related materials (parts, racks, dunnage etc.)
  • Support selection, implementation & setup of computerized systems related to inventory & production control
  • Scheduling in and outbound loads
  • Creating shipper paperwork
  • Sending & Booking ASN’s
  • Creating outbound and inbound shipments in SAP

Secondary Duties/As Needed:

  • Assist in managing inbound freight logistics
  • Support team with Receiving Dock, Shipping Dock and material storage issues
  • Manage and oversee a small group of local drivers
  • Coordinate movements of products and materials with Dispatch Group
  • Provide reports of efficiencies and material tracking
  • Assist in Material Flow Planning – how materials flow through facilities and how they are stored

Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current Experience with inventory and material management
  • Experience with floor related material handling functions
  • Thorough knowledge of production and inventory documents
  • Maintains record of incoming and outgoing freight
  • Inventory Management Experience
  • Familiar with packaging and containerization
  • Excellent Attendance Record
  • Experience with FIFO and bar-coding systems
  • Extensive Microsoft Office experience required
  • Experience in logistics and transportation preferred
